In a world where there only seems to be death, destruction, pain, suffering, and tragedy, it is hard to see the beauty of God. When we seek to find the beauty of God we must look beyond this world. This world is not of God, and to find His beauty one must look into the very heart of God. As I grow closer to the heart of God and understand how much He loves me, I can even see God's beauty in myself, because I can see myself through His eyes. By seeing God's character we see His beauty all around us. In 1 John 4 the writer tells us that God is Love so anytime we use the word love we can interchange it with God. This gives a whole new meaning to our perception of God as our Father. For instance, in 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter if we substitute the word love for God we get a clear picture of His character, and of His beauty.

God is patient
God is kind
God is not jealous
God does not brag
God is not arrogant
God is not rude
God does not self seek
God is not provoked
God does not look at or keep an account of other’s wrongs
God does not rejoice in wrongs
God rejoices in His truth and love
God is always patient
God always believes
God is always faithful
God never gives up
God always has hope
God never fails.
